Second Medical Opinion
After you have explained your problem, your doctor will tell you what documentation to provide and will clarify any doubts you may have about the service.
We will help you compile your reports and the necessary medical tests (biopsy samples, radiological tests, etc.)
We will study your case carefully and we will send it to a prestigious doctor specialized in your pathology, so that they can assess it personally.
A few days after, you will receive the specialist’s report with their observations and the answers to your questions, which your personal doctor will explain.
Your personal doctor will monitor your progress to advise and help you in any matter that may arise later.
Accompaniment Service 24h
In order to save you the difficulties of a trip abroad, Salamah provides an accompaniment service from your arrival to the place of your choosing. In addition, we offer these accompaniment services so that you can go to the therapeutic centers or to the place of your choice, saving you from any mobility issues during your stay.
Our interpreters will welcome you and accompany you. This service is similar to simultaneous translation. It is also suited for activities such as meetings, dinners, fairs, visits, sightseeing or shopping. They are qualified professionals. The translator listens and interprets the content, allowing a fluent dialogue between the parties. We have extensive experience as interpreters.

How to process the Visa to go to Spain?
To carry out this process, you must contact the Spanish embassy or consulate in your country. The documentation that you will be asked for may vary depending on your country of origin. Is Travel Insurance necessary?
Yes, it is necessary to get a health insurance. This is mandatory for anyone who has to apply for a visa to access the Schengen area (European Union). Medical insurance for Schengen visas must have a minimum coverage of €30,000.
What are the steps to follow during the Second Medical Opinion?

Can we provide your treatment?

How long do patients usually stay in the medical center or hospital?
It is not possible to set an approximate time, since each type of treatment requires a different intervention and post-intervention or recovery period. However, once we have your diagnosis, the tests and possible interventions are planned so that your stay at the Clinic is as short as possible, always prioritizing your health and well-being.
Can the budget vary during the medical treatment?
Generally, the offered services include information on deposit and payment estimates and price updates for medical services. The budget is issued by the Medical Center, adjusted to your case and taking into account possible complications that may occur or the need for additional tests. However, it may vary if so indicated by the Medical Center. In any case, we represent you and not the medical center.
What documentation should I bring to the center?
The Hospital will have all the medical documentation provided by you as well as any that may have been requested previously.
How reliable are hospitals in Spain?
The Spanish healthcare system is considered one of the best in the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) puts it in 7th place for health in the world. Newsweek magazine puts it in 3rd place, only behind Japan and Switzerland. The advantages and benefits that it offers to its users are, in a nutshell, the quality of care and facilities and the quickness in the administering of treatments.
When and how should the payments be made?
Once you hire Salamah, you will have two budgets. The first one, issued by the Medical Center picked by you. Keep in mind that this will be an estimate. The method and form of payment will be indicated on the same budget.
The second budget will be issued by Salamah, which will include all the non-medical services selected by you. The method of payment is 50% in advance of your trip and the rest at the end of the contracted Services.
Legal security of the patient
In Spain, the rights of the patient are included in various regulations, starting with the Spanish Constitution, which establishes the fundamental right to health protection, and by the General Health Law of 1986, which established the fundamental rights and duties of the patient, as well as the general principles of universality and equity. It is one of the countries in the world in which the patient is most protected by the Laws.

Patient information is confidential, therefore, it can only be looked up by authorized internal staff of the clinic. The Organic Law on Data Protection, as well as European Community Laws, establish a series of protocols and standards that are complied with by all the centers we work with.
